Indecision Vs Fulfillment

  was recently told that there was a study done that said that 90% of clinical depression in this study was caused by one thing.

And that was conflict of values, which resulted in indecision.

And when that conflict was resolved and the person made clear decisions and had real clarity and real honesty about what it was that they wanted in their life, that would allow them to feel true purpose and fulfillment, 90%, the depression was cleared.

So my question for you today is: if you are feeling a little down,  you have a few options that you’re holding back from making a decision on, and it’s causing you to feel unhappy, maybe you just need to simply decide.

Give yourself permission to be really honest about what it is that you truly desire for your life.

And see if that clears up any of your unhappiness.

Who would’ve thought indecision was the cause of so much unhappiness in the world.

As someone who struggled with her mental health for years, it makes perfect sense to me.

How can you be on a path of purpose and fulfillment if you feel torn between options?

The 4 Blocks To Success

So I wanted to share with you today, the four, four big blocks that are stopping you from being successful.

The first one is lack of clarity, lack of clarity around who you really are and your true vision that you have for your life.

Not a vision that people have told you is for you, one that is truly yours.

One that lights you up.

The second one is internal resistance.

So you have emotional blocks, limiting beliefs, you have conflicted values.

Releasing fear, shame and guilt from who you are and what you ant to create for your life.

Identifying beliefs that are not true and making new decisions about who you truly are.

The third one is self sabotage.

So you have habits that are holding you back automatic habits that you are not even aware of.

For example, when you’re supposed to be doing something, moving you towards your vision. You go and binge watch Netflix instead.

Finding your master habit and supporting habits and linking them into neural pathways to get you results faster.

The fourth one is also having zero accountability.

Not having anyone there to course correct. You guide you, remind you and to support you in moving forward on your vision.

Getting a coach to support you to see what you miss. To align your vision, clear the blocks, aling you to better habits and see what you can’t see in your current reality.

Whose Life Are You Living ?

Is the life you’re living yours?

Are you still being driven by the past?

I was reflecting today and thinking, am I still living my life at some deep level?

Based on the rules that other people have set for me. Or based on past traumas that hurt so deeply about who I could be and what I could have.

Am I still disallowing myself from being all of who I could be because I’m still operating on a system that just automatically disallows me because unkind people in the past said, no, that’s not for you?

So give yourself permission, give yourself permission every day to go deep, to explore, to pull things apart to go:

  • What has made me, who I am today?
  • Where does the value that I currently have on myself come from really?

When words  wound  we can change our thoughts and heal.

You are worthy of everything that you desire. And it’s up to us to keep doing the healing work, to keep looking, to keep digging and removing those old thoughts and beliefs that hold us back.

To keep saying no, no, no, no, no! You minimized me and dismissed me when I was a child. You poked fun at me. You were hateful. You were hurtful, but that’s not who I am.

That was never, never who I was.

We’re all meant for greatness. So stop whose life are you living, whose life and give yourself permission for it to be yours.

Give yourself permission every single day.

Tyranny Vs Genius

The “tyranny of the or versus the genius of the and” conditioning, will have us believe that we can only have one of something.

That if there are two options placed in front of us, we have to choose. This is the tyranny of the or. You can have that or that, but you can’t have both.

I want to know who said, we can’t have both, where did that initially come from in your life?

Because when we are open to the genius of the and, which is, I can have that and that, or I can do that and that, or I can be that  and that, versus the tyranny of the or, I can only do that or that, we miss out on opportunities.

I want you to ask yourself, where did that belief come from?

Where were you first told that you were limited or where were you shamed for wanting to have more than one thing?

Or to be able to do two things, or to live in a state of abundance?

When potentially those around you were raised under that tyranny, the tyrannical or, you can’t have everything you are being greedy.

I want you to ask, where did that come from?

  • Is it a generational thing?
  • Is it a societal thing?
  • Is it something taught via school or church?

Whatever it is, especially when there is so much abundance out there, how is it impacting your life? 

How would things work for you or show up for you differently, if you embrace the genius of the and?

I can do that and that I can have that and that I can be that and that it even flows more nicely and feels so much nicer to say rather than, oh, I can have all that.

I want you to start really looking at ways for opening up to potential, possibility, abundance and receiving, because you can have that and that.

Next time you feel like you have to put the brakes on something, ask yourself, are you submitting to the tyranny of the or and then open yourself up to the genius of the and.

Procrastination Vs Action

Are you a procrastinator who just really wants to take action on things, but just gets really stuck?

There’s a couple of things that you can look at to shift procrastination into action.

Now, the first thing could be that you’re just overwhelmed.

Whatever it is that you’re wanting to create, achieve, do has an action attached to it that  is just too big.

Now in the coaching world, we call that a chunk. So the chunk is too big.

So the easiest way to avoid procrastination and take action  is to break the task down into smaller chunks, smaller steps, break it all the way back down to the most simplest of steps to take.

For example: you’ve got a big report to write and it just feels way too big, it’s just like, Ugh. Break it down, break it down, break it down.

We want to get it to the most easiest, most simplest action that you can take to get yourself started.

As you reverse engineer it, you want to get down to a step as simple as turning on the computer, sitting at your desk.

Something so small and so easy that your brain goes, “That’s easy. I can do that”

And you’ll notice with that, that all of a sudden, all of the next steps to follow flow a lot easier.

Now, if you’ve broken down the chunk size and you’re still not taking action, and you’re still procrastinating, you’re still feeling overwhelmed, you’d rather be doing anything else than the task at hand: here’s something else to consider.

The task isn’t actually really aligned with who you are.

If it’s not lighting you up, if it’s not aligned to your values, if the task, the action that you wanna take, isn’t tied into something pleasurable, something that you love, something that’s exciting or something that when you take the action has a big reward at the end……

If it’s not aligned with who you are, you’re really gonna struggle to get it done.

So I always suggest, look at your values, the hidden values you shadow values:

  • Does it get you attention?
  • Does it leave you feeling validated by completing this task?
  • Does it give you feelings of control or superiority?
  • Does it make you money?
  • Does it feed your ambition?

Anything like that?

So break the task. Make it small, really easy, simple to do, align it with who you are and the things you wanna create that feel really good that feed your soul and chances are you’ll notice the procrastination easily becomes action.
